The book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is about a middle-school kid named Greg Heffley. This book is realistic fiction. Through the book he faces bullies and family matters. He tries to get back to together with his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, after they got in a argument. Greg also has some school problems going. The author illustrates the story with simple black and white drawings. This book is very humorous and is good to read any time. I hope you read it in the future.

Do you know, I still haven't read this book? Having read this review, it sounds like it would be fun while teaching some valuable lessons! I like the fact that the illustrations are "simple black and white drawings". That would allow me to use my imagination! Well done, Alex!
